FIRST MOVE VR has arrived!

We are proud and excited to announce the launch of the First Move Virtual Reality (VR) programme.

This immersive and engaging solution provides a scalable delivery mechanism for the interactive First Move Manual Handling programme and provides businesses with another option to deliver and/or reinforce the First Move Safe Movement Principles.

First Move VR is a partnership between Provention and Capability Group. Provention has provided the expertise in safe and effective movement (aka First Move) whilst Capability Group has bought the best of learning design and technology. Our partnership was instigated by Aston Moss, Chief People Officer at Briscoe Group, who wanted an innovative, scalable and impactful solution to support the wellbeing of each and every frontline team member across Briscoes and Rebel Sports stores.

The unique interactive learning style of our First Move programme is the cornerstone of its success and impact.  We hear daily about the First Move programme:

  • ‘This is the best training I have ever done’
  • ‘I wish I had learnt this information years ago – everyone should know this’
  • ‘I never knew how small changes in position made such a big difference on the muscles I use’
  • ‘My back pain has reduced significantly by learning how to move with balance’
The VR technology maintains this interactive practical learning style with the added benefits of:
  1. Flexible and on-demand: Group training often requires extensive coordination to schedule workshops or sessions, especially in businesses with shift-based or geographically dispersed teams.VR provides a ‘virtual trainer’ at every location. It enables on-demand training that can be accessed when and where it’s needed. Each module is 8-10 mins long and can be included in each team members’ roster, making training easier to fit into busy work schedules, without disrupting operations.
  2. Scalable: VR provides consistent, repeatable training, no matter where your team members are based.
  3. Engaging: VR technology is immersive and engaging.  Individuals are excited to use and experience the technology.  Engagement makes team members more open to absorbing and retaining the information, ensuring shifts in mindset, movements and behaviour.
  4. Immersive, hands-on learning: VR maintains the interactive ‘learning by doing’ approach that is the cornerstone of First Move.
  5. Refreshers: The First Move VR modules may be used as a stand-alone programme or as a refresher for those businesses that implement the practical face-to-face First Move Manual Handling programme.
VR is quickly becoming a cornerstone of modern training strategies, and First Move VR is at the forefront of this trend. Contact us to find out more.
